The MICAH Fund’s core goal is to provide financial assistance to prospective Christian adoptive parents who are seeking to adopt African American or biracial children. This is done in the form of dollar-for-dollar matching grants up to a specified amount. To receive this matching grant the parents must apply to the MICAH Fund, be approved, and raise funds to be matched. Our application process is defined on this page of our Web site. Note: To allow enough time to complete this process it is best to contact the MICAH Fund right after the completion of your home study.
A matching grant may be given once for each adopted child. Grants must be applied for separately each time another child is adopted.
Whether a matching grant is given and the amount of the grant are decided as part of the application process. Matching grants are given based on the qualifications of the parents and funds available at the time.
If you are interested in applying for a matching grant you may start the process by filling out an interest form.
